Indah M. Walsh (Artistic Director/Choreographer/Dancer) was born in San Francisco, CA and grew up traveling and living over seas. She has danced in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the US, and received a BFA in dance from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College in 2008. She has performed works by Kendra Portier, Monica Bill Barnes, Bill T. Jones, Kate Hutter, Sean Curran, and Catherine Galasso.
As an emerging choreographer in New York City, Indah Walsh has showcased her work since 2008 at venues and festivals including Dixon Place, Spoke the Hub, Dance New Amsterdam, Movement Research, the Hatch Series, The American Dance Guild Festival, Fertile Ground, the Amalgamate Artist Series, and Triskelion Arts. Her work has also been featured in California at the Dance and Movement Workshop for Educators as well as Backhausdance Platform Production in Irvine.
Walsh has taught and choreographed works for high schools, colleges, and dance conventions in Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and California. Since 2008, Walsh has been a featured guest artist at Nevada Union High School, Taipei American School, Singapore American School, Dance and Movement Workshop for Educators, Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asia Schools Cultural Convention, and Southwestern College.
Based in New York City, Walsh is currently pursuing an MFA in dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She was awarded a position as Graduate Video Assistant for 2013-2014 at NYU Tisch School of the arts and a Media Fellowship with New York City Ballet.
