"Anything is Pastable if you Just Meatballieve"

A dance with spaghetti and meatballs

Anything is Pastable if you Just Meatballieve was created as part of the Choreographers, Composers, and Designers class at NYU Tisch Dance.  The class fosters collaborative relationships and brings together students from the Design Department, the Musical Theater Writing Department, and the Dance Department at NYU Tisch.  Collaborators begin with a piece of text, which solidifies a concept and starting point.  The inspiration for Anything is Pastable if you Just Meatballieve began with a recipe for spaghetti and meatballs.  The oversized table, designed by Kimie Nishikawa, creates the illusion that the performers are small children sitting at the dinner table on spaghetti night.  With music by James Ballard and Robert Grashaw, viewers take a fun journey with word play, crying, sneezing, and of course, spaghetti and meatballs!
